Hi — I'm Kristina.
I've loved dogs since before I could spell the word. I grew up in a house in Jutland where the dog got the good spot on the sofa and nobody argued about it.
Petly is what happened when I couldn't find a single dog bed I'd actually want in my living room — or that my dog Bella would actually sleep in.
It started with a sewing machine and a stubborn dog
In 2023 I bought Bella her fourth dog bed. She refused it, like the three before. Too flat, too loud, too ugly for the living room. So I took the machine my mum gave me, some proper foam and a bolt of bouclé, and I made one myself. Bella slept in it for eleven hours straight.
I sewed a small label into the seam. Hundly — hund is Danish for dog. Friends asked where I'd bought it. Then their friends asked. By the end of that winter I was sewing in the evenings and shipping in the mornings, and the kitchen table had become a warehouse.
We outgrew the kitchen table. We outgrew the name too — cats arrived, collars arrived, and Hundly became Petly. But I never took the old label off the products that carry it. Every time one goes out the door labelled Hundly, it reminds me why I started: one dog who wouldn't settle for a bad bed.
And because those labels mean something to me, they should mean something to you too. Every order that arrives with a Hundly label has a small extra gift tucked inside. I won't say what. That's the fun part.

Three years, one rule
Kristina borrows her mum's sewing machine and makes one herself. Bella sleeps eleven hours.
A small woven label goes into the seam. Friends start asking where to buy one.
Beds, then car seats. 15,000 hours of testing with real dogs in real homes.
A new name, the same rule, and $10 from every order going to shelter dogs.
Hundly. It just means "dog".
If your bed, mat or car seat arrives with a Hundly label instead of a Petly one, nothing is wrong. It's the original name, kept on purpose.
Every Hundly-labelled item ships with a small extra gift in the box. It changes, and we never announce which one you'll get. Consider it a thank-you from the kitchen table.
Bella was a rescue. That's the whole reason.
Bella spent seven months in a shelter before she came home. She slept on concrete. When Petly could finally afford to give something back, there was no debate about where it went.
$10 from every order goes to shelter partners in Denmark and beyond — for beds, food, vet care, and training programmes that pair rescue dogs with veterans.
